Chen Zhao

Hello, I'm Zhao Chen 👋👋, a Master's student in Biomedical Engineering (BME) at City University of Hong Kong (CityU).

My learning journey has been a bit unconventional 😂: Undergraduate background rooted in the interdisciplinary field of Medical Informatics; later developed a passion for Computer Vision (CV), self-taught OpenCV, deep learning-based image detection/segmentation/human pose estimation, and attempted to solve few-shot segmentation problems; now fully immersed in the world of Large Language Models (LLMs), exploring the intersection of natural language processing and biomedical engineering. 💻 Recent Learning & Projects:

• Systematically mastered core principles of LLMs, from Transformer architecture to pre-training/fine-tuning workflows, and built & implemented a ChatGPT-2 model from scratch using PyTorch;
• currently working :
  1. Develop an autonomous browser agent based on the OpenManus architecture
• Two completed projects:
  1. Enterprise RAG System (Addressing intelligent retrieval and Q&A needs for internal enterprise documents)
  2. AI Search Application (Enabling fast retrieval of massive data with Elasticsearch (ES));
• future exploration focus: The potential of Small Language Models (SLMs);

🔍 Career Goal: To integrate my interdisciplinary background in medical-engineering and LLM expertise, exploring the practical applications of AI in healthcare, and becoming a cross-disciplinary engineer proficient in both healthcare and algorithms.
